What is the TYT Exam?

The TYT is part of an exam called YKS. The YKS exam is composed of AYT, YDT and TYT. Syrian students holding a Temporary Protection ID (the yellow kimlik) must take this exam in order to have their applications evaluated.

For the Turkish Scholarship, only the TYT is required; there is no need to take the other exams.

The TYT consists of 120 questions to be answered in 135 minutes:

  • 40 Turkish language
  • 40 Math
  • 7 Physics
  • 7 Chemistry
  • 6 Biology
  • 5 Religion
  • 5 Philosophy
  • 5 History
  • 5 Geography

The subjects covered are: Turkish language, social sciences, mathematics and sciences.

Documents required for registration:

  • Kimlik (ID card)
  • Personal photo
  • The student's most recent diploma
  • Registration form

Registration and exam dates:

  • Registration starts: 11/02/2022
  • Registration ends: 07/03/2022
  • Exam date: 18/06/2022
  • Exam time: 10:15 AM
  • Results: 20/07/2022

Before going to the registration center, you must fill out the following form: click here. Registration must be done in person because the student's photo is taken on site.

After registration, the student must log in to the exam authority's website, complete the registration and pay the exam fee, which is 115 TL.
