Bezmiâlem Vakıf University is distinguished by a medical heritage spanning more than 175 years and its ties to the first modern hospital of the Ottoman Empire. Its extensive hospital network serves 8,000 patients daily, providing advanced clinical training to students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and the health sciences. With all programs concentrated in the health sector, it offers a uniquely deep specialization. The university is situated in Istanbul's historic Fatih district, near the most important Ottoman landmarks. Programs are offered in Turkish and English, with a preparatory year for languages. Facilities include advanced anatomy and medical simulation laboratories, and research centers specializing in life sciences, biotechnology, and gastroenterology.
