Among the key advantages of studying at Bahçeşehir University are the following. The university maintains cooperation agreements with many leading universities around the world, including New York University, Harvard University, Stanford University and the Technical University of Berlin, as well as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It operates branches in several countries, including the United States, Germany, Canada, Georgia, China, Italy and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. BAU is actively working toward becoming one of the world's top 500 universities. It provides student housing for around three hundred students, alongside a library that holds more than 150,000 books and academic references and is widely used by students and researchers alike. The university comprises nine faculties, two vocational schools, two schools dedicated to foreign languages and applied disciplines, four graduate institutes and two research centers. Students have the opportunity to carry out applied research at more than 700 companies and laboratories within and outside Turkey, gaining the experience they need to enter the workforce. The university is also home to 81 student clubs that organize a wide variety of recreational and social activities.
